Booking terms
Version of 13 October 2026.
These terms are new and are being checked before anybody pays real money under them. Nobody is charged a penny under them while that is true. If you have a date in mind, ask anyway and we will hold it in pencil.
1. Who you are booking with
The Snug Club Ltd (Registered in England and Wales, company no. 17419416 · 1 Deodar Road, Putney, London SW15 2NP). "We" means us; "you" means whoever makes the booking, for themselves or for their company.
2. Booking
A hosted night is booked when the 50% deposit is paid. Until then the date is not held. A digital kit is paid in full, and we email it to you once it is.
3. The balance
The rest of a hosted night is due 7 days before it, by the card link we send or by bank transfer.
4. If you need to change or cancel
More than 28 days before the night, your deposit moves to another date within 6 months. Within 28 days, we keep the deposit. Within 7 days, the whole fee is due. These reflect what a cancellation costs us, a host's booked evening among them; they are not penalties.
5. If we cannot do it
If we have to cancel, you choose between a new date and every penny you have paid back. If a host cannot come on the night, we send another, or your organiser runs it with the digital kit and we refund the difference.
6. Numbers
A hosted night covers up to 30 guests, and £10 a head after that, up to 50.
7. The venue
You confirm the venue has power, speakers for a hosted night, and a music licence that covers the event. A pub almost always does; an office often does not.
8. Drink and behaviour
The venue and you look after the drink. Our host may pause or end the night if guests are abusive to them or to each other. Everybody there is 18 or over.
9. Prizes
The prize is a record voucher or a Founder place in The Snug Club. There is no cash alternative.
10. Photos
Our host takes photos only of people who are happy to be in them.
11. Your guests' details
Guests' names and picks are used to run the night and nothing else, and deleted 30 days after it. Nobody is added to a mailing list.
12. Hosts
We may send any of our hosts, and they run the night to our script. You are booking the night, not a particular person.
13. Things outside anybody's control
If the night cannot happen because of something neither of us could reasonably prevent, we offer a new date first and a refund of what you have paid if none suits.
14. Liability
Our liability to you is limited to what you paid for the night. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else the law does not allow to be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights.
15. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
